Google Chrome - It’s gonna be big…very big…
September 3rd, 2008
On first impressions it’s amazing. Simple, sleek and increadibly fast the new browser release from Google, called Chrome is a very polished product. It renders quickly, javascripts work and overall it’s just a nice browser. After a few minutes I had set it as my default browser.
The Home Page or ‘New Tab’ open with thumbnails of your recently visited sites and makes it so much easier to jump in and out of the sites we frequesnt regularly. It’s such a simple and usefull idea it’s surprising no one has done it before but that’s Google inovation for you.
I predict that this is going to change the landscape of our desktops quickly and decisevly over the coming year. Google has already put the download link on it’s home page so millions of users worldwide will be downloading and switching quickly. With google now poised to take a significant market share, their browser will enable them to not only vastly increase their advertising revenue but also make it much easier for them to start embedding their software into our daily lives.
The browser war has started again and this time the stakes are even higher.
